Shaping a patient approach to money growth in Ghana
Upliftthrive launched in 2023 with a simple belief: meaningful financial change comes from steady rehearsal, compassionate guidance, and tools grounded in our local realities.
We do not promise overnight transformations. Instead, we offer a dependable partner who helps you keep promises to yourself, your household, and the communities you serve.
Why we focus on practice over pressure
Money habits stick when they are rehearsed within real schedules. We design touchpoints that respect your commitments, cultural rhythms, and emotional connection to money.
We listen before suggesting tools
Our discovery conversations surface the backstory behind your goals: supporting siblings through school, navigating seasonal business drops, or preparing for relocation. The result is a plan rooted in your reality.
We build around Ghanaian systems
Harness mobile money, credit unions, susu groups, social security benefits, and workplace wellness programs. We help you harmonise them rather than replace what already works.
We document every insight
Each session produces a reflection log that highlights the choices you made, the data you considered, and the feelings you experienced. These records make progress visible over time.
Our methodology in five anchors
Every engagement follows a structure that keeps you in control while ensuring expert support is never far away.
Orientation
We gather your priorities, map stakeholder expectations, and agree on the cadence that suits your work and family commitments.
Design labs
Collaborative sessions where we co-create budgets, savings tactics, or debt strategies using templates and real numbers you supply.
Action sprints
Four to six week cycles focused on one change at a time, supported by check-ins via phone, messaging, or group workshops.
Reflection reviews
We pause to review outcomes, celebrate progress, and identify behaviours requiring reinforcement or redesign.
Renewal planning
We look ahead to upcoming life events or policy changes, ensuring your habits evolve with the broader environment.
A snapshot of our first year
We are a young organisation, yet our foundation is built on listening and iteration.
Quarter 1: Listening tours
We met with HR leaders, cooperative managers, and young professionals to understand financial stress points after the 2022 macroeconomic shocks.
Quarter 2: Pilot cohorts
Two cross-sector cohorts trialled our routines. Feedback led to the introduction of voice-note summaries for clients on the move.
Quarter 3: Resource library
We curated a library featuring Ghana Revenue Authority updates, Bank of Ghana advisories, and case studies from across the regions.
Quarter 4: Partnership pathways
We designed bespoke programs for NGOs supporting youth employment and cooperatives serving traders at Makola and Kaneshie markets.
The people behind the practice
Our facilitators bring experience in financial services, behavioural science, coaching, and adult education across Ghana, West Africa, and the UK. We channel that expertise into approachable guidance rather than titles or hierarchies.
Our facilitation values
Respect: Every story is honoured, whether you are managing your first salary or restructuring a growing enterprise.
Clarity: We decode financial jargon into simple, doable steps.
Consistency: We show up when we say we will, offering a stable anchor during uncertain seasons.
Accountability and compliance
We operate in line with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, Bank of Ghana consumer protection directives, and global coaching ethics.
Data care
Your information is stored on encrypted platforms hosted within regions compliant with Ghanaian regulations. Access is limited to facilitators assigned to your engagement.
Ethical commitments
We avoid conflicts of interest, keep recommendations independent from product commissions, and sign non-disclosure agreements when required.
Quality assurance
We maintain documented processes, update playbooks quarterly, and invite external auditors to review selected engagements for learning and improvement.
